NICOLA ROBINSSustainability strategist, coach and facilitator, Nicola Robins is a Director and co-founder at Incite Sustainability, a leading sustainability think-tank and consultancy based in South Africa. She started her career as Sustainability Manager for Nissan South Africa in the early nineties. Now, with nearly 20 years of experience in the field, she has worked with clients – including many JSE Top 100 companies, NGOs and multinational organisations – in South Africa, Europe, the US, Australia and China. She is a key contributor to Incite's pioneering approach to sustainability as a driver of innovation and competitiveness. An Advisory Panel member for the University of Pretoria's Gordon Institute for Business Science, Nicola also teaches at the UCT Graduate School of Business and the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership. She has a BSc Hons (UCT) and an MSc in Industrial Environmental Management (FulbrightScholar) from Yale University.
sean anSetthas over 15 years of experience in the sustainability sector and a Master of Studies in ustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge. He is the CSO of Fairphone a social start-up enterprise and formerly was Director of Corporate Responsibility at Burberry in London and Director of Global Partnerships at Gap Inc., where he led Gap Inc.'s social responsibility and labor standards compliance programme in Mexico and the Caribbean. He has served on multi-stakeholder initiatives including the Advisory Board of Social Accountability International, Global Reporting Initiative's G3 standard expert committee, Ethical Trading Initiative, and is a founding member of UNCTAD's committee responsible for launching a guide to including CSR indicators in financial reports.
maria silanpaaIs an internationally recognized corporate responsibility and sustainability leader. Prior to founding Sustainability Advisory Group, she held pivotal roles at The Body Shop International, KPMG and AccountAbility, and during her 20-year career in this field has made pioneering contributions in the areas of strategy development, stakeholder engagement, human capital development, supply chain management, reporting and assurance. Maria has made instrumental contributions to various sustainability standards and initiatives notably AccountAbility and its AA1000 Series of Standards. She sat on the founding board of Ethical Trading Initiative and on Global Reporting Initiative's Technical Advisory Committee from 2005 to 2010. A selection of her clients includes AVIVA, BBC, Besix, The Co-operative Group, The Gap Inc, ING Bank, Nakheel, Nike, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Samsung, Shell, Siemens and Westfield. Maria's publications include The Stakeholder Corporation A Blueprint for Maximizing Stakeholder Value, endorsed by global leaders as a seminal work. In 2009, she was ranked number three in the advisory category of CSR International's Global Top 100 CSR leaders.
